Oregon has grown blueberries commercially since the late 1940s, making it one of the most established blueberry regions in the world. Farming here runs deep, as many growers have spent generations refining their craft and passing down knowledge that shapes each season’s harvest.
That history is part of why we established our Oregon farm in 2005. Alongside our farm’s internal efforts, we partner with trusted local growers who know this land inside and out. Together, we’re rooted in a region where experience, care, and consistency come naturally.
Our Oregon farm is located just outside of Stayton in the Willamette Valley (about a four drive south of Seattle). Here we prioritize our sustainable farming and manufacturing efforts to grow the tastiest blueberries this side of the US. We also work with long-standing partner growers across the region in efforts to deliver a consistent, year-round supply of fresh blueberries while continuing to improve growing practices.
This combination matters. Oregon is a mature growing region, and success here is built on the relationships you make just as much as the land you grow on. Together, our incredible team and partner growers focus on one thing: growing high-quality blueberries the right way.
Few states grow blueberries quite like Oregon. That’s because of volcanic soil. No, really, you read that right. See, massive lava flows covered the areas that the Willamette Valley resides on 15 to 17 million years ago. Originating from fissures in Eastern Oregon and Washington, that lava turned to nutrient-rich clay. Mix that in with months of rain and ripen our blueberries under long summer days, and the final result is a depth of flavor that’s hard to replicate anywhere else.
Oregon’s wet winters charge the soil so our blueberries burst with flavor come July.
Cool, long days let our blueberries gradually ripen. You won’t find us rushing nature on our farms!
Willamette Valley’s volcanic-turned-nutrient-rich soil offers incredible growing conditions for the juiciest blueberries.
Peak season lasts just six to eight weeks. A shorter window means more focus on quality over quantity.
Our Oregon farm follows globally recognized standards through GlobalG.A.P., which helps guide things like food safety, responsible water use, soil care, and farm worker wellbeing. In simple terms, it’s a way of making sure we’re farming with care and consistency, every step of the way.
Across Berry Fresh, and through our parent company, Agroberries, we’re always working to do better. That includes improving irrigation systems, reducing packaging impact, and finding smarter ways to grow with the environment in mind.
We don’t treat sustainability as a checkbox. It’s at the core of how we farm.

While Oregon is a summer highlight for our Berry Fresh blueberries, it’s not the only place we grow.
Because blueberries follow natural seasons, we work across multiple growing regions throughout the year. When Oregon wraps up, other regions help carry the harvest forward, including Peru, Mexico, and Morocco. Each region has its own season, climate, and strengths. Together, they allow us to grow and source blueberries year-round in a way that lets nature lead the way.
