When you bite into one of our Peruvian blueberries, you’ll immediately notice the crunch, the burst of juice, and the delicious taste. That’s not an accident. That’s geography. Peru offers ideal growing conditions for premium blueberry varieties given its long sunny days, steady coastal weather, and wide open growing regions that help fruit develop great flavor, texture, and consistency.
Peru has become the world’s largest blueberry exporter due to it’s stable coastal weather and large amount of plantable land. The long desert days and sunlight provide faster yields and allow us to fill market gaps during the offseason times of our other farms. We’ve been sourcing in Peru since 2015, thanks to farming by our parent company Agroberries, or officially known as Agroberries Peru. It’s a region that plays an important role in our global growing network, delivering consistently high-quality fruit year after year.
Because the farms are directly operated within the Agroberries network, we stay closely connected to every step of the process, from planting and harvesting to packing and shipping.
That hands-on approach is especially important when growing proprietary varieties designed for premium flavor, texture, and crunch. All of our Peru blueberries are proprietary varieties.
We’ve continued refining how we grow to consistently produce blueberries that are vibrant, juicy, and genuinely exciting to eat. We use precise irrigation and careful field management to support consistent growth across seasons.
We also focus on gentle, timely harvesting and a tightly controlled cold chain to preserve freshness from our fields to your fridge.
Because when the blueberries are this good, the details matter.
Peru is home to some of our most exciting blueberry varieties, and trust us, you can taste the difference. These berries are especially known for their larger size, intense juiciness, and signature crunch.
Every blueberry grown here is proprietary, meaning the varieties are specifically selected for premium flavor, texture, size, and shelf performance. The goal is simple: to produce blueberries that look great, travel well, and most importantly, taste amazing.
SekoyaCrunch® is all about texture. These blueberries are known for their extra crisp bite and satisfying crunch, paired with bold, full blueberry flavor. They’re large, vibrant, and seriously snackable.
SekoyaPop® brings a juicy burst of sweetness with a lighter, brighter flavor profile. These berries are smooth, refreshing, and incredibly easy to keep reaching for, whether they’re going into recipes for smoothies, breakfast bowls, or straight from the clamshell.
Our Peru farms also grow additional premium varieties developed through Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, a global leader in blueberry breeding and innovation. Each variety brings something a little different to the table—whether that’s bigger size, balanced sweetness, firmer texture, or rich blueberry flavor. Together, they create a consistent eating experience throughout the Peru season and keep every Berry Fresh blueberry delicious.
Peru’s blueberry season runs from August through February, when long days of sunshine and steady growing conditions come together to produce fresh, premium fruit. This stretch of the year plays an important role in our global growing calendar, extending blueberry availability well into the fall and winter months when other harvests naturally slow down.
Growing premium blueberries also means growing responsibly.
Our Peru farms are certified through GlobalG.A.P., a globally recognized program focused on food safety, responsible farming, environmental care, and worker wellbeing. We’ve also achieved the GlobalG.A.P. SPRING certification for responsible water management, along with the LEAF certification for integrated pest management and regenerative farming practices.
Across Berry Fresh and Agroberries, we’re constantly looking for ways to improve how we grow, harvest, package, and protect the environments around our farms, working toward smarter, more thoughtful farming practices. Because better farming leads to better blueberries.

While Peru offers nearly seven months of delicious Berry Fresh blueberries, it’s not the only place we grow.
Because blueberries follow natural seasons, we work across multiple growing regions throughout the year. When our Peru farm is out of season, other regions help carry the harvest forward, including Oregon, Mexico, and Morocco. Each region has its own season, climate, and strengths. Together, they allow us to grow and source blueberries year-round in a way that lets nature lead the way.
