It starts by cross-pollinating two blackberry plants, just as nature does, to develop new varieties with improved genetics. Our Sweet Karoline® blackberries are grown in Jalisco, Mexico and are harvested between November and June. All of our farms are GSFI-certified (Global Food Safety Initiative) and meet the high international standards for food safety. Sweet Karoline® blackberries have grown a sizable following, thanks to their sensationally sweet flavor. Sweet Karoline®’s have a Brix rating of 14-18. What does that mean? Brix is the ratio of sweet to tart in fruit, and the average blackberry is usually a 4-8. Our Sweet Karoline®’s pack a much sweeter bite with every berry.
