Blackberry Nutritional Information

Did you know…

Blackberries aren’t really berries! Each bump on a blackberry is called a drupelet that contains its own seed. That means a blackberry as we know it is actually many fruits in one. But we keep blackberries in our berry family because they’re just so delicious!

Storing Guide

for Ripe Blackberries

Step 1
Keep your blackberries dry before placing them in your refrigerator. There’s no need to wash before.
Step 2
Leave your blackberries in their original container, or in a loosely covered bowl. *Pro tip: If you store in a low humidity crisper drawer, they’ll stay fresh longer!
Step 3
When you’re ready to eat, gently wash and enjoy your freshly stored blackberries.

Freezing Guide

for Best Tasting Blackberries

Step 1
Gently wash and pat dry your blackberries. *Pro tip: Give them some time to air dry completely to prevent freezer burn.

Spread your blackberries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in the freezer for around two to four hours.
Step 3
Place your now individually frozen blackberries into an airtight freezer container or bag. When stored in your freezer, these berries should last for up to 12 months.
